Online integrative psychotherapy in English and Spanish

Fianna Pacheco

Psychologist, HCPC - Clin. Psych.

From a very young age I wanted to become a psychotherapist, to dedicate my life to alleviating the suffering of others by listening without judging and discovering the roots of their mental health issues and opening up the possibilities for change and personal growth.

The idea of the existence of an unconscious part of our minds fascinated me. How could something that we are unaware of, influence our thoughts, our feelings and our behaviours? Uncovering and understanding our unconscious and the effect that it has on our lives, while providing the space to process them is what enables the possibility of change.

During the first 8 years of my professional career I built my private practice in Venezuela, my country of origin. In 2016, the Venezuelan crisis motivated me to find new paths to improve the quality of life for my family and me. Migrating hasn’t been an easy task. However, I was born in London and lived part of my childhood in England, so I had the language, knew some of the culture and had a support group. This background along with having my own therapeutic process helped me process the losses and grow with the changes in my life. Since I moved to Birmingham I have worked as a counsellor in a university and a few years ago I decided to restart my private practice.
